SAINTE CHAPELLE, PARIS

20161211_121702Something I somehow missed in my six months in Paris was the stunning Sainte Chapelle.

The 1,113 stained glass window depict scenes from the old and new testament. Of course you can read about each if you’re so inclined but even to the untrained eye, it’s beautiful.

The bonus is, if you’re 18-25 and resident of an EU country you get in for free.

Make sure you go on a bright day to get the most impressive display with the glittering rays setting the colours alight.

Be warned there’s not that much to see, it doesn’t take that long to look around so if we hadn’t had free entry, I would maybe have thought twice but it was a nice cultural stop to justify all the cheese and wine. However, you can get a joint ticket for the chapel and the conciergerie.
